Manbhari Devi’s life changed when Sarvajal installed RO plant only a few feet away from her house as part of a community drinking water solution. Along with clean & safe drinking water to the community, it brings down drudgery and time of women travelling to another village to get water.

Manbhari says “Our women had to leave work undone at our home in our pursuit to bring drinking water, but now with Sarvajal water purification plant in our village, we get water anytime we need and are able to attend household chores on time” (56% of the sample population in Nimeda spends 20- 40 mins daily in fetching drinking water)

Mamata Devi had to spend around Rs. 500 on frequent doctor’s visit because she and her family had to drink water that is salty nor could they afford bottled water.

A smiling Mamta explains “Water was really bad in taste, it gave us stomach pain, knee pain, loose motions, vomiting etc., since we started using Sarvajal’s water our visits to doctors have come down. We don’t get sick because of water [anymore].” (At time of survey, 59.4% of the sample population has fallen ill, in last 1 month due to water related illness)
